Close on the heels of winning Datacloud’s best APAC datacenter award, the country’s largest datacenter – Yotta NM1 – now wins the rare distinction of being awarded the Tier IV Certificate of Constructed Facility by Uptime Institute (USA) – the leading independent datacenter advisory and certification organisation.
Sunil Gupta, Cofounder & CEO, Yotta Infrastructure, comments, “Last year we were thrilled to receive the Tier IV Certificate for Yotta NM1’s design documents (TCDD), which was a pre-requisite for the Tier IV Certificate of Constructed Facility (TCCF). The auditors at Uptime Institute monitored our live system demonstrations under real-world conditions and have finally validated the facility’s performance as defined during the design phase. I’d like to congratulate our Engineering, Projects, and Operations teams for their relentless pursuit of this rare achievement. Yotta NM1 datacenter now joins a elite list of handful datacenters globally who have had their facility thoroughly audited by Uptime Institute and received the Tier IV Facility Award.”
The TCCF audit process included live system demonstrations under real-world conditions, validating the performance of Yotta NM1 datacenter. The award is based on review of multiple mechanical and facility criteria as defined in the Tier Standard: Topology, the globally recognized benchmark for data center reliability and effectiveness.
“Tier Certifications equip data center providers with an objective and effective means for identifying the anticipated performance of infrastructure at different data center sites and design topologies,” added Mustapha Louni, Senior Vice President, Middle East, Africa & Greater India at Uptime Institute. “It also serves as a good parameter for customers to evaluate different data centers and bring uniformity of quality standards in the industry, calling for greater responsibility in the ecosystem to come together and strive for continual improvement. Uptime Institute is pleased to award Yotta Infrastructure with the Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility to further illustrated their commitment to building scalable, resilient, highly available and excellently operated data centre parks to meet India’s ever-growing digital infrastructure needs.”
