Workday Names Rani Johnson as CIO

Workday, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, has announced the appointment of Rani Johnson to chief information officer (CIO), effective immediately. Rani will oversee the company’s global information technology (IT) organization, including internal deployment of Workday’s products, go-to-market applications, and all other enterprise-wide IT systems.

Rani has over 25 years of experience in diverse technology roles, industries, and organizations, bringing a record of success in driving business application and organizational efficiencies. She was most recently CIO at Cloud Software Group, and prior to that she held CIO positions at TIBCO, SolarWinds, and Lower Colorado River Authority. Rani began her career at NASA Johnson Space Center and was part of a team that had code deployed on the International Space Station. She has been recognized by Technology Magazine as one of the Top 100 Women in Technology and as one of the Top Ten Blacks in Tech by the Austin Black Business Journal.
