Microsoft Acquires Two Hat to Offer Protection Measures for Online Communities

Microsoft has announced the acquisition of Two Hat, a leading content moderation solution provider that provides protective measures for online communities with the goal of improving everyone’s experience.

According to Microsoft, the volume of malicious content which is shared online is increasing globally, necessitating more effective and proactive content moderation.

Microsoft said in a statement “For any online community to thrive, content moderation is a critical investment to ensure positive user experiences and maintain engagement over time,”

It added “Microsoft and Two Hat share a vision for using advancements in moderation technology to nurture and protect diverse, global online communities,”

This acquisition is a significant step forward in Microsoft and Two Hat’s long-standing partnership, as it will bring together innovative technologies, research capabilities, highly trained employees, and the most comprehensive cloud infrastructure.

According to Microsoft, this is a significant investment in assisting and serving Two Hat’s existing customers, prospective new customers, and a multiple product and service experiences.
