Binu Chacko Appointed as Head of Information Security of Walmart Global Tech India

Binu Chacko has been appointed as Head of Information Security of Walmart Global Tech, overseeing the company’s 100-plus cybersecurity and technology teams in India.

Binu Chacko, Technology Consulting and Cybersecurity leader, has been appointed to head Walmart Global Tech India’s Infosec group. Binu’s new role entails overseeing the leadership, actions, and team development of more than 100 India-based cybersecurity and technology teams that support and build next-generation products and services to deliver seamless, omni-channel experiences to clients throughout the world. Binu worked at Ernst & Young (EY) as a Partner | Consulting – Cyber & Cloud Security before joining Walmart.

According to the Fortune Global 500 list for 2020, Walmart is the world’s largest company by revenue, with $548.743 billion. With 2.2 million employees, it is also the world’s largest private employer. Walmart Global Tech India is where the company develops technology solutions that benefit millions of Walmart customers worldwide. The teams in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Gurugram are working on cutting-edge engineering and product development solutions to support Walmart’s objective of providing customers with a shopping experience that can be had anywhere, at any time.

Binu has led multiple digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives in organisations such as Fidelity Investments, Reliance Jio, Wipro, and CtrlS DC / Cloud4C as Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Data Protection Officer (CDPO), and Head of Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC).
