Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu recently attended the passing out parade of CRPF of the 50th batch in Gurugram. In a veiled attack to the people and organisations criticising the Army for violation of human rights in conflict zones, Naidu while addressing the gathering, said that Human rights are for humans, not for those who work against humanity.

Naidu also asked CRPF to devise ways to deal with cyber security threats, which had implications for the internal security of the nation. The Vice-president said that the government would ensure the requisite modernisation of CRPF for the same.

The event was attended by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, PWD minister Rao Narbir Singh and Gurugram MLA Umesh Agarwal. Naidu pointed out that organisations, people and ideologies that support terrorists were working against the Constitution and humanity and would not be accepted.

A total of 48 officers concluded their 52-week-long training with the parade. Of these four were women. Added to this, 18 serving officers received medals for their work.
