‘Game Mode’ In Windows OS

by CIO AXIS

When it comes to computer operating systems, Windows has always been the weapon of choice for gamers. MacOS never supported graphics intensive gamers. Moreover, Windows had advantage of Direct X system. Now it seems Microsoft is going a step further by adding a ‘Game Mode’ to its operating system. When activated, this mode will prioritise system resources for games to squeeze out more performance.

The tip comes from WalkingCat Twitter account, known for spilling the beans on Microsoft related stuff. His recent claim is based on the gamemode.dll file found in a leaked preview of Windows 10 (build 14997).
The feature is expected to go live with the upcoming Creators Update for Windows 10. Before that though, it will definitely make it to the developer preview. It seems Microsoft wants to get gamers running Windows 7 to finally upgrade to its latest operating system.
