AVST Achieves Microsoft Gold Communications Competency

by CIO AXIS

Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST), a leading provider of best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) software, announced it has attained a Gold Communications Competency demonstrating a “best-in-class” ability and commitment to meet Microsoft Corp. customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment and distinguishing itself within the top one percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.

To earn a Microsoft Gold Competency, partners must successfully complete exams to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft Competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects, meet a revenue commitment, and pass technology and/or sales assessments.

AVST has achieved Microsoft Gold Communications Competency for its CX-E solution integrated to Skype for Business. As businesses move to Skype for Business either as their sole voice communications platform or as an addition to their existing PBX environment AVST extends the Skype for Business feature set with mission-critical UC applications that include:• Enterprise-wide and departmental speech and DTMF automated attendant;• A full set of IVR and notification capabilities;• Voicemail to support customer confidentiality and compliance requirements;• Informal call center for improved collaboration;• Personal assistant to enable the mobile workforce;& • Intelligent call completion based on schedules and user presence.

“Last month we announced our Gold Messaging Competency for Exchange environments, and now we are proud to announce our Gold Communications Competency for Skype for Business,” said AVST Chief Technology Officer Tom Minifie. “This portfolio of gold competencies further validates our expertise and commitment to meeting customers’ technology needs now and into the future.”

“By achieving a Gold Competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top one percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
